THE CRUCIAL ROLE OF YOUR CHURCH |
We need your support to make THE 2008 NATIONAL CHURCH WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE A REALITY. Through our partnership, not only will new members be added to your church, but your current members will be strengthened, enlightened and set free from the bondage of overeating and poor health. |
FIVE STEPS HOW THE CHALLENGE WORKS
CONTACT - our National workshop director team to set an orientation date for your church- for the free TWO-hour orientation workshop. Depending upon what region of the country you are in, this will be done live by one of our wellness coaches, or facilitated by a staff member at your church through our DVD-based orientation. |
SELECT - Staff or ministry leader to be a "wellness champion" within your church, this person should be passionate about the physical, spiritual and mental health of the congregation and become a liaison to our National workshop director team. This person will ensure that all things run smoothly from start to finish with the church challenge. |
PROMOTE - Utilize the e-mail blast campaigning we design for your ministry. To maximize community outreach and church member participation, we will supply your congregation with posters, handouts, beautiful full color glossy postcards and audio/visual tools. |
CHALLENGE - The ministries within your congregation should form into groups of eight in order to enter the competition, Each church needs to have a minimum of one eight member team to take the challenge! |
HOST - The 12 week challenge. Your church can host the weekly DVD session in house or let your members utilize the curriculum through small home based "inspiration circles." These weekly focus groups include 20 minute DVD lessons taught by founder Shannon Tanner, and 40 - 60 minutes of open discussion/goal setting and accountability exercises. Small groups help to motivate the challenge members with a solid biblical foundation. The small groups foster support, and provide participants with principles to walk in total victory! |
